The technical analysis of the Apple stock price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows #S-AAP,H4 is retracing down to the 200-period moving average MA(200) after hitting all-time high two weeks ago. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower bound of Donchian channel at 214.51. A level below this can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 226.81. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high indicator, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (226.81) without reaching the order (214.51), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Apple share price slid amid reports of lower US demand for new smartphones. Will the Apple stock price continue retreating?
Apple shares slid 0.48% on the day while data from wireless carrier AT&T the previous day indicated sluggish US smartphone demand. AT&T's second-quarter report on Wednesday showed relatively soft demand for new smartphones, including Apple iPhones. AT&T's postpaid subscriber handset-upgrade rate was at 2.9% for the second quarter - a record low. That compares with 3.1% in second quarter last year and 3% in the first quarter. Two days before these data Verizon also reported record low smartphone upgrades. Lower US smartphone upgrade demand is bearish for Apple stock price. At the same time JPMorgan set December 2025 target for Apple stock nearly 20% higher from current level, adding the stock to its focus list. Barclays also raised their estimates for Apple.
